Gonzaga, Medeliza T. AB-English Date Graduated: Feb. 3, 2011

“I feel deeply honored to welcome all of you and for having been given this opportunity to speak before a gathering on this meaningful and much awaited in the life of every student and to feel with us the joy and happiness of our success and fulfillment – Graduation Day.
I say meaningful because, today, as graduates, we reap the fruits of our labor. The time spent for pouring over countless modules, reference books and searching for materials in the internet, and reviewing for and taking the final examinations have come to an end. We have surmounted all the struggles and difficulties that go with student life. And now, we are indeed very glad to have finally achieved our long cherished dreams for having successfully completed a course leading to our chosen field of endeavor. This is undoubtedly the result of our incessant toil, patience and determination.
I say much awaited because not a few of us here had any opportunity before to earn a college degree either some opted to work because there was a need to help augment the family income or there was lack of interest to pursue higher studies back then and it was only later on that some of us realized that having a diploma after all, is a requisite in aiming for a successful career.
Of course, we have the good Lord to thank for all the blessings he has showered upon us, our ever supported parents, spouses, children, relatives, bosses, co-workers, and friends and certainly not the least, the Asian Institute for Distance Education for facilitating our quest for higher education and therefore realizing our dream of having a college diploma.
Again, my warmest welcome and unceasing gratitude for the opportunity you have bestowed upon us today.
Thank you and God Bless us all.”
